   Bod Hyfryd Guest House Betws-y-Coed

Bod Hyfryd Guest House Betws-y-coedA warm welcome awaits visitors to the Bod Hyfryd Guest House from your hosts Alwena and Steve. Bod Hyfryd, is a small, warm and friendly Guest House, originally being of a 19th century stone built design that is situated at the north end of the village on the main A5 road and overlooking the Afon Llugwy .The Guest House is only a few minutes walk from the centre of Betws-y-Coed and the railway station.

Bod Hyfryd, and Betws-y-Coed, offers much to its visitors as a base from which to enjoy many activities. Walking, climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, horse riding, bird watching, fishing or enjoying the spectacular views and scenery afforded us by the Snowdonia National Park are some of those activities.

There are a number of walks, from gentle forest trails (some which begin only yards from the Guest House), to more severe hillwalking and scrambles to be found in and around Betws-y-Coed. There are also many sites of local interest that reflect the history of the area such as castles, churches and chapels, slate copper and gold mines, and narrow gauge railways to mention but a few of them.

Organised groups are welcome at Bod Hyfryd and Alwena and Steve are pleased to have given their support to those groups and organisations who have attempted, and succeeded at, the Welsh 3000 as well as groups and organisations that have used Bod Hyfryd as a base for training courses and expeditions.

Bod Hyfryd has eight bedrooms. All central heated; there are both en-suite and standard rooms in Family, Double and Single room configurations. Each room has a colour television and a hospitality tray. Breakfast is served in the main dining room. There are lounge facilities with colour television as well as an extensive collection of informative literature on local places of interest.

Directions: Bod Hyfryd is at the north end of the village on the left hand side of the A5 as visitors travel towards Capel Curig and Bangor .
